Get your Garden Jubilee Weekend ready!

The nation is set to enjoy an extended long weekend in honour of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year from 2nd June to 5th June. Street parties and garden gatherings are sure to be a common sight throughout the UK. So if you need to spruce up your outdoor areas with minimal effort but for extra impact, here are a few ideas.

Decorative stones

Decorative stones are a fantastic way to create a unique and cost-effective finish to your garden. Use them on borders, beds, pathways and much more to smarten up and to give a clean, crisp appearance. Choosing the right stone type and colour can dramatically improve the look in your outdoor space with just a layer of decorative aggregate. We stock a variety of pebbles, cobbles, slates, and chippings in small 25kg bags and larger bulk bags, all of which can be delivered or collected from our yard.

Bark Mulch

Mulching your beds and borders with bark is not only a great way to supress weeds and lock in water, it also gives your garden a neat and tidy appearance. Just a layer on top of the soil can improve the soils organic matter and deter some pests e.g. slugs and snails. It also protects plant roots from extreme heat and cold temperatures. It is also a very quick and easy way to give your beds and borders a decorative and tidy finish. Loose loads and bagged loads are available for delivery or collection.

Shingle

By adding a layer of shingle on your driveway not only helps with drainage and keeping weeds at bay, it can also make a huge difference in the appearance of your home. If your existing shingle driveway is looking a bit flat and maybe a little bare in patches, a new layer of shingle can make all the difference. Shingle can also be used in beds and borders. We can deliver loose loads tipped straight on to your driveway, or we can deliver in larger bulk bags or smaller 25k bags, or they can be collected.
